Frame Grabber

Frame Grabbers &
Interface Cards

Before each frame can be processed and analyse with software, data has to be transported seamlessly from the cameras to the PC memories with Frame grabbers or camera interface cards.
Vital Vision supplies a wide range of cards from simple low cost to high end processing cards with on board processing capibilities.

Camera Link Frame Grabbers

Camera Link is a serial communication protocol standard designed for computer vision applications based on the National Semiconductor interface Channel-link. It was designed for the purpose of standardizing scientific and industrial video products including cameras, cables and frame grabbers.Camera Link comes in several variants which differ in the amount of data that can be transferred. Some of them require two cables for transmission.
Base configuration, Medium configuration and Full configuration.

CoaXpress Frame Grabbers

CoaXPress (CXP) is the latest high end interface standard for machine vision. It is based on  asymmetric high speed, point to point serial communication standard for the transmission of  images, scalable , expandable. It featured  high speed downlink of up to 6.25Gbps per cable ,and a 20Mbps uplink for communications and control. Power over data cable is supported as part of the standard.

Standard HD Video Frame Grabbers

HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) is a standard video interface for transferring uncompressed video data from an HDMI-compliant source devices such as cameras to a compatible computer monitor, video projector, digital television. Our Standard HD cards allows grabbing images from a wide range of such devices for image processing.

Analog Frame Grabbers

Standard Analog Video interface, otherwise  known as composite video plays an important roles during the beginning of machine vision application, it allows access to a wide range of generic video cameras to be used for image processing.

USB3 Interface Cards

USB3 is fast becoming one of the most important interface for Machine Vision application.
Even though most PCs today comes with on-board USB3 ports, depending on chipsets used on these ports, not all USB3 ports meet the performance demand of vision application.
The PCIe USB3 cards we offered are thoroughly tested with our cameras.
