Industrial Machine Vision Cameras

Vision Cameras

Industrial Machine Vision cameras are the hearts of any vision system, no vision system is complete without it.
Vital Vision distribute a wide range of Industrial vision cameras design to suit almost any type of application, ranging from high performance cameras for very demanding projects to entry-level low cost cameras.

Industrial Machine Vision cameras

For the last 10 years, Machine Vision industries have being reinventing itself to cope with the ever increasing demands of manufacturing processes. From higher quality , higher speed, increasing complexities to cost effectiveness.

And this can be seen from the evolutions of the industrial machine vision cameras, including interfacings and Sensors type.

Interfaces ranging from Analog cameras to Digital LVDS to camera link and Coaxpress, and “Grabberless” interfaces such as firewire, USB2, GigE to USB3 .

Sensors ranging from interlace CCD to progressive CCD, the rolling shutter and global shutter CMOS.

USB3(R) VisionUSB3 Vision® -High Bandwidth Yet Simple Connectivity

  • High bandwidth in excess of 360 MB/s
  • Easy-to-use plug and play interface
  • Uses GenICamTM generic programming interface

CoaXPress combines the traditional simplicity of coaxial cable with state of the art high-speed serial data technology. The combination of these two features – coaxial cable and “express” speed – provides a highly desirable solution for high-speed imaging and data transmission. Click on the Coaxpress cameras button to explore our range of Coaxpress Industrial machine vision cameras.

GigE Vision® is a global camera interface standard developed using the Gigabit Ethernet communication protocol.GigE Vision GigE Vision allows for fast image transfer using low cost standard cables over very long lengths. With GigE Vision, hardware and software from different vendors can interoperate seamlessly over GigE connections. Click on the GigE Cameras button to explore our range of GigE industrial Machine Vision Cameras.

Camera Link® is a robust communications link using a dedicated cable connection and a standardized communications protocol. Camera Link is a hardware specification that standardizes the connection between cameras and frame grabbers. It defines a complete interface which includes provisions for data transfer, camera timing, serial communications, and real time signaling to the camera. The 1394 digital link standard was conceived in 1986 by technologists at Apple Computer, who chose the trademark ‘FireWire’, in reference to its speed of operation. The first specification for this link was completed in 1987. It was adopted in 1995 as the IEEE 1394 standard. IEEE-1394-2008 is the most current version of the standard, Click on the button to explore the range of firewire Machine Vision Cameras.

Pixel shifting in Machine Vision means cameras using a technique which increases the true resolution of cameras by moving the sensors by fractions of a pixel in the x- and y-directions.
Its an effective way to increase resolution details of area scan cameras dramatically.
